Can’t quickly access a specific WhatsApp chat with just one tap from the home screen? Go then! We show how to create a shortcut to a specific conversation on the home screen of an Android smartphone.
In order to be able to create a shortcut on the home screen at all, you need a current WhatsApp version.
After starting Messenger, open the list with all conversations under Chats. Then press and hold the conversation you want to create a shortcut for. In the selection menu that pops up, select “Add chat shortcut”.
WhatsApp then creates a shortcut on the home screen with the name of the conversation and the profile photo of the chat partner. All you have to do then is tap on the shortcut and you’re right in the middle of the desired WhatsApp chat.
